My heart is broken, My family lost a good man and heaven gained an Angel.
My fondest memories of Uncle Bernie are numerous I will only mention a few.
He would come on Saturday morning with his truck and horse trailer, load up my pony Dynamite and off we would go to Barrington for the horse shows. This was weekly we would ride side by side in the opening parade. Me on a pony and him on his " huge" black horse. I was so proud to be riding beside him. I was like 8 or 10 yrs old.
Over all the years since we moved in 1976,we didnt loose contact, he never forgot my B day, maybe a day late but... we would call each other on holidays or to just say hi.
I could always go to him with anything, he had a broad shoiulder to hold all my concerns, the humor to make me smile. He was always there to help.
I will just now talk to you in a different manner.
