Obituary of Myrtle VanZile

Myrtle V. VanZile, 94, of Cayuta, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Bethany Manor. She was born in Warren Center, PA on May 26, 1920, the daughter of the late Leo and Madeline Jones. Myrtle was a hairdresser for thirty years. She was a member of the Cayuta United Methodist Church, the Cayuta Cemetery board, and served for over 20 years at the Cayuta Food Pantry. She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, L. Rodney VanZile in 2000. She is survived by her son, Thomas L. (Linda) VanZile of Shreveport, LA; grandson, Patrick VanZile of Pensacola, FL; step grandchildren, Ammie Carey of LA, and Robert Carey of CT; four great grandchildren; brother, Carlton (Maxine) Jones of Warren Center, PA; and nieces and nephew, Diane, Jackie and Leo. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Myrtle's graveside service at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 12, 2014 at Cayuta Cemetery.
