I am a cousin of Terry's, (the youngest of the Goff kids) I didn't know Terry well, but I remember a very proud experience I was fortunate to share about his life. When I was about 7 years old, there was an article in the Star-Gazette about Terry. The headline was, "This is T-Shirt weather for me" and a picture of Terry was included in a glowing article about him, right after he returned from Antartica. Our whole family of our parents and 9 children was all "abuzz" about this news that OUR COUSIN was such a hero! I asked my parents if I could take the article to school and I shared it with my teacher at St. Patrick's school. She allowed me to share it with my 51 classmates and I was a bit of a hero for that day, because of Terry. That memory is still very vivid to me (52 years later) and that memory will live on, so part of Terry will live on in me. Thank you Terry, for letting me have a few minutes of glory.
