Condolences
I am Connie's brother Bill.
Connie and I were best friends as teenagers. We talked often while she washed the dishes and I dried as part of our chores.
We spent a lot of time outside our folks country home in the snowy winter and in the summer with our brother Larry and later with our sister Carla.
Connie was interested in knitting and other hand work like tatting and crocheting that she learned from Grandma Pearl. Connie and our mother crocheted a lot.
We both liked sketching animals.
Connie had a life long love of cats. Her first one was a tabby named "Cinnamon". She loved hearing the sound of the contented purring her cat made while sleeping on her lap. She collected many China and crystal cats as well.
Connie's laugh was something I enjoyed a lot because it was so gleeful.
She was easy to talk to and so encouraging.
We both enjoyed roller skating. We went to the lake side rink in Watkins and "Joy Crest" in Elmira whenever we could.
Connie and our mother enjoyed great times together with their shared interests in hand work, birds, crafts, and just being best friends.
She loved her husband Lynn and they spent almost 5 decades together.
The most outstanding thing about Connie is that she loved making and doing things for others. Her crocheted Barbie doll gowns were exquisite. She made a lot of them. Everything Connie made was impressive and beautiful.
Connie was a wonderful treasure and now a treasured memory, dearly missed.
I am so grateful to God for Connie and so grateful that Connie came to know God as Savior and Lord and that those of us who are also saved by God's grace through faith in Him will see her again in God's perfect Kingdom of Heaven.
Connie was such a special cousin/friend to me from early in our lives, then was in our wedding party and was always a treasured part of our lives. Heaven gained another angel when we lost her. Our condolences and love are with you, Lynn, as we all grieve with you.
Connie was such a wonderful friend and person. I will miss her so much!!
