Obituary of Bruce Durfey

Durfey, Bruce M. Bruce M. Durfey born on April 13, 1949 the son of the late Arthur and Rosalind Durfey passed away very unexpectedly on August 14, 2013 at his home. He is survived by his brothers, Wayne (Karen) Durfey and James (Susan) Durfey both of Odessa, NY; three nephews Jeffrey (Paula) Durfey, Robert Durfey & family and Ryan Durfey & family; Aunt Marilyn Dayton of Pine Valley, NY and several Cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Arthur and Rosalind Durfey, Niece Michelle Durfey and nephew Brett Durfey. Bruce graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School and Corning Community College. He worked presently at Camp Monterey as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor. A job he truly loved. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Family and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013 from 2-4 PM with a funeral service to follow at 4 PM. Father Michael Hartney will be officiating. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery. The Family is extending an invitation to all family and friends to a reception after the services at the Mechanics Club in Montour Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice or to St. James Episcopal Church, Catharine, NY.
