Condolences
I'm just hearing this very sad news. Though I haven't seen you since the close of your business, I always felt I had a fond relationship with the two of you. That's why you had such a successful business! I first met Stan when you came to Laurie's first grade open house in Burdett. Stan was interested in the science items I had placed out for the kids to explore. I thought smartly (at age 21) said, "The horseshoe crab is a living fossil". Stan just quietly said, "I know" with a smile. How embarrassed I was to find out his biological education! But how like him, that smile! I have missed Stan's knowledge ever since you closed Stillman's. He planted trees for me and we had good discussions on native wild flowers. Stan concluded why a beautiful blossoming tree had suddenly died. My condolences to you Sharie and the families. He will be missed by all that knew him. Hugs. Fran Martz Willis
Dear Sharie, Laurie, Steve & Family,
I send my sincere condolences to all of you at this sad time. Stan was a terrifically knowledgeable source of information, always modest, yet willing to share and advise with kindness, patience, and humility. His professional kindness was a reflection of his personal goodness. He was so proud of his family, and so very devoted to Sharie. He made the world a better place, just by being part of it!

Dear Shari and family,
So sorry to hear your loss. What a kind and gentle man. We never saw him without a smile. Loved his sense of humor! “Mat the God of all comfort,.....comfort you” 2 Cor. 1:3,4. Thinking of you and your family.

Dearest Sharie, children and siblings. Your husband, father and brother will forever be remembered as a true and trusting friend. He was a great human being with so much love for his family and nature. I will forever be thankful to know Shar and Stan as very good friends. Through our talks I know he believed and I know you all will be discussing trees, plants and insects our Heavenly Father bestowed upon us in Heaven one day. God Bless.

We are so shocked to hear of Stan passing. He was a kind and hard working man. We miss those afternoon talks with a grilled cheese burger with extra mustard. Talking about life and gardening. He was a great mentor, confident, rolemodel and friend to many. Will miss him terribly. Love to you all, Barb, Curt, Caitlin, Cameron and all of the Staff at Curly's
Just heard of Mr Beaver’s passing. So many wonderful memories of your family - especially staying with Laurie and Steve summers when you were busy at Stilman’s, and the hole in the stone wall on the hike in the creek. So much love ❤️
Stan was my Rotary buddy and friend. I always valued his knowledge of horticulture. He taught me about "head bonkers" (the low tree limbs that would hit you in the head if you didn't trim them!) He planted my pear trees that have grown large and strong. They will now have a special meaning. He made the world a better place and will be sorely missed. My condolences.
