Obituary of Pauline A. Ski
Pauline A. Ski (Howard), 84, passed away quietly at home with her family by her side on Monday, August 3, 2020.
Pauline enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. She loved her yard that displayed her flowers and favored snow white and dwarves. You would never see a starving bird or skinny squirrel nearby, as her feeders were always full. She loved old movies, especially westerns, and enjoyed crocheting. She loved to bake banana bread and cookies only to give them away. She had a sweet tooth, a jar of Jelly beans were always close at hand next to her chair and ice cream in her freezer. Pauline is described as selfless by her children, one who always gave of her time and listened to anyone that needed to talk. She had a face that was always smiling and arms that were always willing to give a warm hug. She had a great sense of humor, a feistiness, and contagious laugh. Her life centered around her children and family. She touched the hearts of all who crossed her path. It is a comfort to know that our mom made a difference to others.
Pauline is predeceased by her parents, her husband Edward H. Sokolowski, her son Steve E. Sokolowski, and her dog Sweetpea.
She is survived by son Cullen Sokolowski; daughters, Jackie Roupp (Terry), Billie Jo Dyer (Steve), Laurie Roby (Ray); Sisters, Marion Kinner, Betty Howard; brothers, Paul Howard, Frederick Howard Sr.; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life in honor of Pauline to be announced at a later date (2021).
