Obituary of Arnold Edward Grover

Arnold "Ed" Grover, 82, of Odessa, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in Odessa on May 19, 1937 the son of the late Norman and Thelma (Wilson) Grover. Ed was Highway Superintendent for the Town of Hector for 29 years. He also operated Ashland Oil Company in Odessa. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working in the garage. He also collected tractors and lanterns. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Patricia "Pat" Grover; children, Barbara (Robert) Burleigh of Newfield, Diana Smith of Odessa, and Rod (Carol) Grover of Odessa; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Bert J. Truax and Raymond Grover; and by a son-in-law, Bill Smith. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, February 29, 2020 from 2-4 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. A memorial service will follow at 4:00 pm.
