Condolences
I called to chat and found that you are gone. We knew you for almost 20 years and met when you helped us out. Truly will be missed, a truly good soul!!
I remember my dad speaking very highly about Harry...he was a kind, gentle and fun loving person. My deepest sympathies to the family.
I am going to miss you Harry. Our last phone call two days before your passing lasted almost two hours. We talked about so many things including sharing happy memories of the trips we took together. I am so sorry we never had a chance to see each other in Nov./Dec. as we had planned. You were a remarkable person and good friend. You are gone but will never be forgotten.
My confidant, my mentor, my friend. I was the lucky one to have had him in my life all these year. I will miss him so much.
Oh Harry, what do I say? I'll miss our chats and visits so much. I lived 3.5 hours away but made a point to visit almost every time I came home. I'll miss talking horses with you. Thank you for everything, I loved you as if you were my own family. Gonna miss you so much! My deepest condolences to family and friends.
Harry was quite the gentleman. We will miss Harry at the Marina and Maria's. His words of wisdom impacted many souls. Stay strong Stevie, Deb, and Peter. Stay safe. Doug
Harry was a unique individual. We shared many a toast and joke. Especially remember the trip to Saratoga and breakfast at the track. Will always remember him telling Kelsey, "I don't like you very much you know" while smiling and giving her a hug. We will cherish the friendship he brought into our lives.
Harry was my introduction to horses, jazz, Ithaca and German Shepherds. Weekends walking polo ponies and, with Theresa, Steve, Kevin, Judy and Lisa - trying to avoid being the object of narrow-eyed glare. My life would have been much the poorer without those shared passions - and the lifelong jostling camaraderie of Harry, his family, and his limitless circle of friends. You will be missed, old man.
Steve and I were very fortunate to have seen Harry a number of times recently: couple dinners out with my dad, at dads house and chance encounters at 2300, Watkins Glen marina etc. Almost every time Harry would laugh about the time I walked into a bar in Watkins about 14 yrs ago and though he had his back to me I recognized him and called "hello old man" and without turning around he stated "it most be an Araujo". He was "family". ! Will be missed!
Thank you for always giving me a smile, Harry. I will certainly miss your spunk and all of your love and support. I am so pleased and thankful I had the opportunity to know such a wonderful and inspiring man.
We will miss your bear hugs and wide smile each time we had the pleasure of seeing you. Will always remember our eukre games and all the laughs.
Harry was always a wonder to me, a kind and wonderful person. I read the obit and was amazed at all this strong gentle and kind man was (not to mention ever so humble). Harry will be missed in many ways and by many folk. My own selfish thought is---who will ever call me legs again!!!!:>(
I met Harry when I was a graduate student. He was a warm and gracious man who always made me feel like I was one of his closest friends. He was always interested in what I was doing and had good things to say. After not having seen him for several years I ran into him with my wife. Harry greeted us with the words, "George, this is the prettiest woman I have ever seen you with." That was part of his charm.
Harry and I were great friends but I didn't see much of him after I left the Glass Works in 1972. We belonged to a jazz group that met once a month at someone's home where we played those new LP records ad well as lot of the old 78 rpm ones. If anyone remembers the red wagon Harry had it came from me, I built it in Wisconsin Rest well comrad!
Harry was one of those people you thank God for bringing into your life. I only knew him for a short time, but what a wonderful human being he was! He was so full of joy and humor and wit. He ALWAYS made me smile! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.
I have very warm memories of this sweet gentleman. I wish more people were like him-
I will miss the charm , wit and humor of such a wonderful individual. Thoughts and prayers to his family and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
We were so very saddened to get the call about Harry's passing. So very sorry for his family and multitude of friends. We'll be sending some pictures to Steve that we took when we saw the two of you this past August. Our deepest sympathy to all.
Harry was a remarkable man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met, including our family. Harry has lived an amazing life and truly made a difference to those around him. He will be missed greatly...
