Dear Susana and family,
I was very saddened to hear of Dan's passing. I am so sorry for your loss. D.C. And I were classmates at Alfred University and became fast friends during our freshman year playing football. We just had another classmate pass in December 2017, and had emailed about getting together this summer after many years. Dan was a great person and friend. May he Rest In Peace knowing of God's promise of eternal life. My best to you all.

Dear family and friends of Dan,
Sherry and I met Dan back in 1978 at PPG in Meadville, Pa. Dan and I were both Ceramic Engineers beginning our first job out of college. Dan and I worked together for 2 years in Meadville. Over the next 39 years Dan and I had various glassmaking jobs, at various companies. As friends we stayed in touch and often having a beer or two at the Glass Problems Conference. His fascination with glass was obvious from a scientific and art perspective. His desire for keeping the planet healthy for future generations of families was truly appreciated. I am thankful for knowing Dan and will remember the good times we shared.
I'm very sorry to hear of Dan's passing,I always enjoyed working with him. I was happy he kept in contact with me after he left the company. He was a friendly easygoing person and I always enjoyed talking to him. He loved his family very much and spoke of you often when I conversed with him. Regrettably I was unable to attend his services but I offer my heartfelt condolences.
My heartfelt condolences to Nancy, Steve, Susana, and the whole Carman family. I will miss Dan's smile and the pictures and posts he always shared. I will always remember him as such a nice guy and a friend.
