Obituary of Theresa Winton

Theresa Marie Winton, 79, of Montour Falls, passed away on Monday, May 25, 2015 at Schuyler Hospital. She was born in Elmira on June 2, 1935, the daughter of the late Tracey and Leona (Comfort) Clark. Theresa worked at GE, NCR, and Toshiba. She was a member of the Glen Baptist Church in Watkins Glen, and a member of the Eastern Star. Theresa was an avid Yankee fan and attended her first game in 2014 with her family. Theresa is survived by four daughters, Sandra (Frank) Just of Montour Falls, Dawn (Daniel) Stillwell of Ithaca, Darlene (Kenneth) Gridley of Montour Falls, and Tina (Gregg) Stiles of Watkins Glen; six sons, Edson "Teddy" (Diane) Lawrence of Beverly Hills, FL, Bruce T. Lawrence of Montour Falls, Dusty (Charlene) Lawrence of New Woodstock, Gary K. Lawrence of Millport, Philip (Wendy) Wytrwa of Trumansburg, and Scott (Brent)Wytrwa of Montour Falls; sisters, Mary (Coil) Barker of Lakeland, FL, Frances Skordinski of Elmira, and Shirley (Glen) Longenecker of PA; 38 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved dog "Punky". She was predeceased by her husband Harry Winton; brothers, Robert Clark, Tracey "Sonny" Clark, and Teddy Clark. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 4-7 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 10:00 am at Glen Baptist Church, 3311 Reading Rd., Watkins Glen. Burial will be in Daggett Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Glen Baptist Church.
