I didn't hear about Deanie's passing until a long time after she was gone. She was my mom's (Helen's) first cousin (her and my mom's mother were sisters). I remember when she came to Hadley to visit in the 1980s. Wish I had known her better.

So sorry to hear about Deanie. I always enjoyed her visits when I was in NY. She is the end of that generation. However she lived a long and productive life and left many fine memories for the family. So glad I was able to know and appreciate her.

Her house was always welcome, with laughter, and delicious foods prepared in traditional ways from jams to turkey dressing. A helping hand to whomever was in need with tender kindness. The world was lucky to have her for over nine decades!
