Obituary of Paul Compton

Paul F. Compton, Jr., 48, of Watkins Glen, passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2014. He was born in Corning on May 25, 1966 the son of Paul F. and Geraldine (Button) Compton and graduated from Watkins Glen High School with the Class of 1984. Paul was an excellent mechanic and welder and enjoyed working on cars. He loved NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father, Paul F. Compton, Sr.in 1990. Paul is survived by his mother, Geraldine Compton of Watkins Glen; his children, Tanya Marie (Carl) Haywood and Steven Compton, both of Summerfield, FL; his siblings, Cathy Wood of Loveland, CO, Sherry Roth of Orlando, FL, and Larry Compton of Spokane, WA; three grandchildren, Sammy, David and Anna Marie Haywood; and three nephews, Peter Serefine, Michael Abbey, and Ryan Compton. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Sunday from 1:00-3:00 pm at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls. A service will follow at 3:00 pm.
