Obituary of Doris Vondracek

Vondracek, Doris A. (Miller) Age 77 of Odessa, NY passed away Wednesday, July 18 surrounded by her loving children after a brave fight with pancreatic/liver cancer. Doris was the daughter of the late Martin and Lela Covey Miller. She was married to Edward J. Vondracek who predeceased her in October 2000. She is survived by her five loving children: Doris Ann Harris of Abilene, TX, Mary (Gary) Stickler of Alpine, NY, Shirley (Stanley) Phelps of Beaver Dams, NY, Joseph (Theresa) Vondracek and Martin (Kathy) Vondracek of Odessa, NY. Also surviving is a sister, Norma Misson of Horseheads, NY and a brother, Richard (Lenora) Miller of Painted Post, NY and two sisters-in-law: Jennie Miller of Chemung, NY and Anna Mae Kerstetter of Golden, CO. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 7 step great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting hours will be on Monday, July 23rd from 11 AM to 1 PM with the funeral service directly after at Vedder and Scott Funeral Home in Montour Falls, NY. Interment will be at Laurel Hill Cemetery for the immediate family. Doris' daughters would like to express their most sincere thanks to their sisters-in-law Theresa and Kathy who treated our mom as if she were their own - we are extremely grateful. The family would like to thank our mother's Hospice nurse, Mary Kellogg, for the utmost care she gave to our mother in the short time she was there to assist us.
