Obituary of William Tuton

"Bill" William A. Tuton, born September 28, 1915 passed away peacefully December 8, 2012. Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Helene. He's also predeceased by his parents Thompson and Lena Tuton, brother, Allen and sister, Annabell Keeney. Bill, a gentle and quiet man, lived the simple life living one day at a time. He was a WWII field medic. Bill and Helene shared the love for square dancing for many years with several senior groups. Bill is survived by his son, Robert (Mary Oberther), daughter Jeannie (Paul) Wright and former daughter in law, Carol Tuton of Montour Falls. He is also survived by his grandsons Michael and Ryan Tuton, Kyle and granddaughter Katelyn (Brian Porter) Wright; he enjoyed his grandchildren a lot. When they were younger his saying was "A grandparent's job is to spoil their grandchildren and send them home." Bill enjoyed playing cards and board games with the family. It never failed he always won. Bill will be greatly missed by his family.
