Obituary of Arlene C. Kimble

Arlene C. Kimble, 77, of Watkins Glen, NY, passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bath, NY on May 17, 1947 the daughter of the late Richard and Martha (Martin) Dykes.

On February 21, 1985, she married Franklin G. Kimble in Beaver Dams, NY. Arlene worked in quality control at Corning Glass for 22 ½ years before retiring in 1999.

Arlene enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting. She loved to cook, bake and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed gardening, sightseeing, snowmobiling, riding 4 wheelers and nature.

Arlene is survived by her daughter, Victoria Manuilow (Travis Vermilyea) of Beaver Dams, NY; son, Ralph Manuilow of Corning, NY; sisters, Peg Dykes of TN, Betty Gross of NY, Mitzi Decker of Romulus, NY; brothers, Alvin Dykes, Matthew Dykes, Richard Dykes, Michael Dykes and Barry Dykes; three grandchildren, Erica Manuilow (Mariah Bickham) of Bath, NY, Brooke Blencowe (Matthew) of Painted Post, NY and Carolanne Manuilow of Corning, NY; five great grandchildren, Bentley, Braelyn, Baylee, Ryker, Parker of Painted Post, NY; and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband in 2004; and by a daughter, Nancy A. Manuilow in 2009.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 3:00 pm at Local 1000-Union Hall, 100 Nasser Civic Center Plaza, Corning, New York 14830.
