Obituary of William H. Lynch
William "Bill" H. Lynch, 58, of Owego NY, passed away unexpectedly on July 11, 2024. Bill was born December 28, 1965 in Sayre Pa. He was the son of the late Charles H. and Sharon Swayze Lynch.
Bill was a very kind and giving man. With a great love and respect for nature and the outdoors, he was an avid bow and rifle hunter, recognized nationally by Sportsman magazines for an amazing day of hunting when he tagged a 12 point buck in the morning and a 600 Pound Bear in the afternoon.
Bill was an amazing skilled craftsman of wood. ln his walks through the woods of his property, he would come across downed trees along the hills and streams and had an incredible vision of what they would become. He hand crafted many tables, benches, chairs, and plaques, among others works of art, that he gifted to his family and friends.
Bill was a motorcycle and racing enthusiast. He enjoyed going to the local tracks and NASCAR. He was a graduate of Waverly Central Schools. He was most recently employed at Hancor lnc.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Jeff Lynch, July 10, 2024, his paternal grandparents, Harry E. Lynch and Vivian D. Lynch, maternal grandparents, Richard and Cecil Swayze; infant niece, Sawyer Lynch.
He was a very proud father to his beloved daughter Payton, the light of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Linda Douglas, New Port Richey FL, brother Jim and Chris Lynch, Chemung NY, sister, Bonnie and Jim Howell, Montour Falls; sister-in-law, Marcia Lynch, Waverly, NY; uncle Fred and aunt Toni Sue Swayze; his fur babies; along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A private committal service will be held at a later date
