Mr. Cutton was one of the nicest guys I've ever met. Always had a smile on his face. Prayers for the Cutton family.
Sending thoughts and prayers to the family. Don was a wonderful man and he will be sorely missed by all.
Dear Lois and family, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time. He was a wonderful husband and father. It was such a pleasure to see him during his visits to Virginia. I especially loved having Don and Lois at my home on Halloween, sharing a big pot of soup and family stories. So glad that I got to know him!
I had the honor of taking some of Mr. Cutton's Industrial Arts Classes at OMCS. I recall taking drafting class one year and print shop another year. The drafting class gave me in later years the ability to read and understand construction drawings. One thing that I recall about Mr. Cutton was when he gave exams where he allowed us to use an open textbook, part of the answer to the test questions was the page and paragraph number where the answer was in the textbook. It did not matter if we knew the answer to the question or not, the answer was incorrect without the page and paragraph number as part of the answer.
Mr. Cutton taught as many life lessons during his tenure at OMCS. I was a member of the OMCS class of 1969. My prayers are with Mr. Cutton's family. May he rest in peace.
So grateful for this man. He taught us all so much about life and love. He walked his talk. He was a force of strength through difficult times, always offering his infectious smile, and had a gentleness of spirit that made you know everything was gonna be okay. His steadfast love for God and family shone through the little and the big things that he did. He was so generous with his time, his money, and his wisdom. He understood that the things of this earth are not meant to be held onto, but shared with all of our loved ones. Thank you Don for everything.
Dear Lois and Family,
I was sadden to read about Don's passing, you and Don were both good friends and teacher to me all the years growing up in Odessa and all the years in school. I always would look at your home when I drove by on Speedway and would think back to younger day.
I spent many hours with Mr. Cutton in Mech Drawing, I took all 4 years with him and it severed me well all through my years working construction and reading blueprints. He taught me well. I also enjoyed many hours in Print Shop with him too.
I was happy a few years ago at our Class reunion that you folks were that and I could tell him in person how much I used the knowledge that he taught me, I had used all through my work career.
My thoughts and prayers are with you.
