Obituary of Everett Glidden Ingalls
Everett Glidden Ingalls, 78, of Bath, NY, died peacefully on the morning of June 19th, 2024.
He was the son of late Herbert and Frances (Glidden) Ingalls.
He is survived by Debra Carter, his partner of nearly 40 years; his sister, Evelyn "Lori" Kathol (Fred Kathol) of Napa, CA; his daughters: Jennifer Ingalls (Mia Wolfanger Pero) of Clarksville, TN, and Amy Smith (Alan Smith) of Honeoye Falls, NY; five grandchildren; many cousins and friends.
He served in the US Navy, June 1963 - December 1966, USS Boxer, as a ship builder and pipe fitter, receiving an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, National Defense Service medal and Navy Unit Commendations.
He lived in Dansville NY for many years, working at Dansville Press and Case Hoyt in Rochester. He was a member of The James H. Jackson Hose Fire Company, the White Sabers, The Community Players, a frequent winner of the Canaseraga Creek Regatta, local kite flying competitions and ran sound for Octoberfest. He eventually moved to Bath, where he actively fixed cameras and hunted deer. He held a patent on a paper folding machine for the printing industry and, with Deb, published a book of unusual game recipes.
He will be remembered for his uncanny ability to fix just about anything, his love of all things outdoors, and his legendary stories.
