Obituary of Bruce A. McClain
Bruce Alan McClain, 55 of Watkins Glen, NY passed away on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at home surrounded by his family and friends after a short battle with cancer.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Katina McClain who was by his side everyday; children, David (Lynne) Robinson of Elmira, NY, Ed (Cortney) McClain of Dallas, NC, Mason (Cassidy) McClain of Canandaigua, NY, Aaron (Vanessa) Robinson of Ohio, Caylee (Jeremy) Hillson of Canandaigua and Bryce (Jessica) McClain of Cohocton, NY; siblings, Peggy (Cliff) Perry of Watkins Glen, Melissa (Gene) Melendez of Himrod, NY, Mark McClain of Watkins Glen; 20 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins; and Darlene (Dick) Jaynes of Reading Center, NY who was considered his mom.
Bruce was predeceased by his parents, Carlton and Gert McClain; three children, Bruce, Holly and Jenna; grandparents, Robert and Alberta McClain and Mary and Charles Dreese; siblings, Jimmy and Cindy McClain; and mother-in-law, Kathleen LeShure.
Bruce enjoyed being outdoors, whether it was hunting, fishing or riding his motorcycle. When someone needed a helping hand he was there. He worked at Jayne's Auto Parts for many years. Most of all, he loved being with his grandchildren, family and friends.
There is a deep sorrow within all of his family that he left too soon. He is with his mom now. We love you Bruce and you will be in our hearts and memories. Fly High!
There will be no calling hours. A celebration of Life to remember Bruce will be held at a later date.
