Obituary of Nancy L. Cole

Nancy L. Cole, 62, of Odessa,  passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. She was born on May 21, 1961 in Corning, NY, and was the daughter of Nona Welty Pitts and Charles Quackenbush, Jr. Nancy was a graduate of Odessa-Montour Central School and on April 19, 1980, she married Dennis in Elmira Heights.

She worked in retail for 44 years with most of her time at K-Mart in Ithaca. Nancy enjoyed baking, different types of crafts, camping, picnics, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband Dennis Cole, of Odessa, daughter Jennifer L. Cole, of Erin, NY, sisters Karen (Scott) Hallett, and Melissa Williamee, both of Elmira, brothers Kevin Quackenbush, of Williamson, NY, and George Vargeson, of Lindley, NY, and several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her parents and son Johnathan A. Cole.

Friends and family are invited to share in the celebration of Nancy and Jonathan’s life, on May 18, 2024 from 1pm-4pm at the Clute Park Pavilion in Watkins Glen, NY. There will be a cost for parking.
