Obituary of Sally Edelman

Sally Edelman, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 on March 30, 2024. Sally is preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her parents, Frank and Mae Wilkinson.  She is survived by her children Melissa Doak (Claudia Brenner); Jennifer Cainas (Michael Hayes); and Luke Doak; along with five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sally was born in Concord, New Hampshire and was raised in Wolfeboro Falls, New Hampshire.  Sally was passionate about education and was a proud graduate of Brewster Academy and the University of New Hampshire. She moved to upstate New York in 1973 and retired to Watkins Glen, NY and just recently moved to Tampa in 2023.  She was an active member of the Lakeview Assembly of God Church for many years until her health declined. Sally was a gifted seamstress and gardener, an avid reader, and enjoyed a great conversation at her kitchen table with family and friends.  She will be greatly missed. A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genessee Street, Montour Falls, NY with Pastor Mark Houseknecht officiating. Sally will be laid to rest with her husband Richard at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Trinity, Florida.
