Obituary of Walter R. Guiles

Walter R Guiles, 80 of Spencer NY, passed away on Monday April 1, 2024 at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital with his family by his side. Born and raised in NY he was the son of the late Earl Guiles of NY. He was a brother, a father, and a friend to so many. Walt was a kind loving soul who will be dearly missed by many. Walt enjoyed mowing the lawn and spending time with his family. Walter was a lover of musical artists like Johnny Cash, and the television show Walker, Texas Ranger. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was rarely seen without a smile on his face or telling a quick witted joke. Walt is survived by his children, Glen Guiles, Lisa Watson, Courtney Starkweather and his youngest daughter Natalia; grandchildren, Kayla Bryan, Kristha Bryan, Naomi Bryan, Ria, Ashley Guiles, Aspyn and Jeffrey Jr Starkweather, Orien and Galexy Jackson; great grandchildren, Ashten Bryan, Andrew, Wendy, and Natalie. A celebration of life will be held on Friday April 19, 2024 at 11:00 am at Vedder-Scott & Zinger Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St. in Montour Falls NY.
