Obituary of Jeffrey J. Collins

Jeffrey James Collins, 66, of Montour Falls, NY died on Thursday, August 3, 2023 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center. He was born in Montour Falls, NY on December 28, 1956 the son of Richard Eugene Collins and Virginia B. Rumsey. He graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School with the class of 1975 and attended TC3.

Jeff was a residential and commercial carpenter. He enjoyed Classic Cars, motorcycles and helping out his friends.

He is survived by a daughter, Seneca Collins; a son, Schuyler Collins of Montour Falls; his mother, Virginia Jensen of Burdett; two brothers, Rick Collins of Odessa and James Collins of Albuquerque, NM; two sisters, Suzanne Tucker of Delancey, NY and Tonya Burnham of Cayuta, NY; and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Sherry (Reid) Collins in 1998 and by his father, Richard Eugene Collins in 2019.

Services will be held privately by the family. Contributions may be made in Jeff's memory to the ARC of Chemung-Schuyler, 711 Sullivan Street, Elmira, NY 14901.
