Obituary of Denise Kidd

Denise Kidd, 54, of Montour Falls, passed away on Saturday, March 4, 2023. She was born in Geneva, NY on September 15, 1968, the daughter of Carlita M. VanDusen and James A. Kidd. Denise was a Nurses aid graduate of Stratford Career Institute. She also received her Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from Grand Canyon University in 2016. She lived in Geneva, Lyons, Macedon, and Clifton Springs for a time and later in LaBelle, Florida before finally settling in Montour Falls. She worked at one time in Burger King Management in Waterloo, NY and also at the ARC in Canandaigua, NY. She was predeceased by her parents and by her son RJ. She is survived by adopted son Jason Arden; adopted daughter Jessica Arden; granddaughter Yassmin Arden; god children, Brandon Button, Brandon Williams, Ciara Slater, and Alana Clark; and by her cousins, friends and ex-husbands. Denise was a very loving person; she loved being a parent, loved her friends and family, and loved helping people. She enjoyed repairing cars and driving them; resulting in many spontaneous car rides to anywhere. She loved animals and was an avid pit bull supporter. In her youth, Denise attended church with her mother. She loved cooking with her mother and grandmother; and was an awesome cook. She was a big fan of Guy Fieri and cooking shows in general. Denise loved fairs, carnivals, and festivals. She was an avid NYS Fair-goer -- never missed a year. She was a caring person to everyone. Denise enjoyed shopping at Walmart where she would sit down and just watch people. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Waterloo, NY, in the spring.
