I worked with Dave during his years at Schuyler Dynamics, and later on I discovered he had decided to work outdoors and take up carpentry. He did several building projects for me, and was good at everything he did. Dave ran the big Mazak CNC machine at Schuyler Dynamics and figured out how to marry up a Windows computer to the Mazak and write the code that upped the productivity of a difficult machine to run. And while it was running on automatic, Dave could be found somewhere else in the shop making parts. He was enthusiastic about everything he did, and was one of the brightest people I worked with. He carried that enthusiasm into his work as a carpenter, and was fun to work with, and he solved some difficult building problems for me. One of his last text messages to me was "If you need a hand with anything, let me know". Dave was one of the good guys, and I'll miss him.
