Obituary of June Magura

June L. Magura, age 82 was born January 1, 1930. Gramma June went peacefully with the Lord on Sunday evening with family by her side. Her husband Michael Magura and her parents Howard & Delora Hoaker Hubbard predeceased her. June is survived by her children: Mike Magura of Horseheads, NY, Tim Magura of Montour Falls, NY, Gary Magura of Burdett, NY and Kathy (Wayne) Shaffer of Montour Falls, NY. Five grandchildren: Stephanie Magura of Syracuse, NY, Cassie Magura of Watkins Glen, NY, Robin (Kyle) French of Horseheads, NY, Andrea Kuparinen of Groton, NY and John (Kristy) Kuparinen of NC, eight great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Sister & brother in law that she adored, Liz & Ken Landry along with many nieces and nephews. June had worked at the old P&C plant in Horseheads, NY then went to work at International Salt Co. where she retired. She attended the Montour Methodist Church until she took sick and moved to Burdett where she attended the Burdett Methodist Church. June loved holidays with family and visits from family and friends. The family was excited when her health would let her get out of her house to attend family gatherings, church and go for rides in the car. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Friday, February 17, 2012 between the hours of 3-5 PM. A celebration of her life will be held following visitation at 5 PM. The Rev. Mark Flandreau will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Burdett Methodist Church in June's name.
