Obituary of John Charles Fay

John Charles Fay, age 84, of Alpine, NY entered unto rest on Friday, September 30th, 2022 at Cayuga Medical Center in Ithaca, NY. John was born in Summit, NJ, the son of the late, Albert L. and Eva E. Fay, Sr. He graduated from Bernard's High School Class of 1956. John started working at the age of 16 at Harrison Laboratory in New Jersey (later purchased by Hewlett-Packard) and retired at the age of 38. He had attended All Saints Episcopal Church in New Jersey. He loved hunting, fishing, trapping and attending auctions looking for that diamond in the rough. John is survived by his brother Albert L. Fay, Jr., niece Dawn M. Fay, nephew Albert L. (Maria) Fay III, and great niece Taylor R. Fay. John had very special friends in New York including Bob and Sue Fair, the Snow Family (especially Jeremiah, Theresa and Sean) and his best friend-his pet dog-Gina. In addition to his parents Albert and Eva, John was predeceased by his sister-in-law Linda M. Fay. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 2:00 pm at the Cayutaville Methodist Church, 3231 Co. Rt. 6, Alpine, NY 14805.
