Obituary of Theoda M. Cornell

Theoda M. Cornell, 84, of Elmira, NY died on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at home. She was born in Montour Falls, NY on November 20, 1937, the daughter of the late Henry and Marria Rarrick and attended Watkins Glen schools. Theoda worked at the Falls Home for three years and also at Jefferson Hotel for four years. She was of the Baptist faith. Theoda enjoyed puzzle books and watching TV, especially her favorite show, Reba. She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Delamater (Michael Brooks) of Elmira; son, Mark Harvey of Elmira; sister, Estellene Allen of Montour Falls; and six grandchildren, Jonathan Prendergast, Olivia Tate, Anthony Harvey, Dakota Delamater, Adam Delamater and Dakota Brooks. She was predeceased by her husband, Murray Cornell in 1993. Relatives and friends are invited to a graveside service on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Montour Cemetery, Mill St., Montour Falls.
