Final Resting Place
Condolences
I knew Dale at two different times. First was when I was a high schooler but Dale was a grade schooler. Friendly tolerance toward these “little kids” was the normal mode of interaction.
The second time I knew Dale was when he began to help reconstruct Lake Grove Park. I recognized his ability to understand the land and different shapes it may assume; and he was a constant source of construction insight for each different alternative.
• What will an area look with an inground rather than above ground septic system?
• How do you construct a road along a bank?
• Where should the water drain from this area?
Dale could visualize issues such as these then engage in a discussion of alternatives. Many times, he and I would drive around the PARK for an hour at a time talking about landscaping.
Dale is now gone but the land he touched at the PARK is a clear memory of him.
