I'm sadden to see the passing of Ron , I met Ron and his late brother Tim while attending Corning Community College . Both brothers were happy go lucky types who company I enjoyed immensely ! As for a memory of Ron here's one that rocks the house ! I was seated at a Psychology Class at CCC way back in 1973 , when in burst Ron waving a pistol and yelling out Mike Berra ! Mike stood up and Ron fired his pistol at Mike who fell over and at the about the same time I saw the Professor of the class diving for cover ! At that point I knew there was something fishy going on even though I could under stand why Ron would want shoot Ball's Berra . It was of course a put up action between the Professor and Ron and Mike . Everyone was shocked as a shooting in a school or college was practically unheard of in 1973 . The professor diving on the floor was a dead give away as the rest of the class of some 75 students were stunted and hardly moved at all . It scared the crap out of more than a few students and I can't imagine the horror today's students face when confronted with a real shooter . This was theater and it certainly created a buzz on the Campus of CCC ! Ron will be missed and my condolences to his wife and children !
