Obituary of Eleanor Gingrich

Eleanor E. (Ellie) Gingrich, born January 21, 1923 and passed away on December 21, 2011 with several family members at her side. She went to be with her previously deceased Husband Francis A. "Pud" Gingrich Sr. the love of her life. The daughter of Benjamin and Sophie (Bridge) Jaynes was a graduate of Elmira Free Academy and worked at Eclipse in Elmira Heights on the Norden Bomb sight during WW II. After the war she was employed by Westinghouse as an Electronics Tester on Cathode Ray tubes. After her retirement she worked at the Watkins Glen Elementary School cafeteria and at the State Park in the summer. She also volunteered at Schuyler Hospital. She was a loving, devoted Mother and Grandmother. Mrs. Gingrich is survived by her children, Francis A. & Virginia Gingrich Jr., David & Bernadette Gingrich, Deborah Grinolds & Kevin Bailey, Janett & Harold Russell. Grandchildren: Wendy Gingrich (Sheryll), Anne Grinolds, Daniel & Wendy Grinolds, Francis (TJ) & Amanda Gingrich III, Elizabeth Gingrich & Simon Harby, Zachary & Elizabeth Gordon, Jesse & Danielle Gingrich and Rory Russell. Seven Great Grandchildren and one great great grand child. She will be truly and greatly missed. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Monday, December 26, 2011 from 1 to 3 PM. Her funeral and committal services will be held following visitation at 3 PM. The Rev. Cynthia Chidsey will officiate. Burial will take place in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Elmira, NY at a later date.
