Obituary of James F. LaRow

James F. LaRow, 65, of Newfield, NY passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at Cayuga Medical Center. He was born in Montour Falls, New York on March 14, 1957, the son of the late Sanford and Frances (Hagadorn) LaRow and graduated from Odessa-Montour Central School. Jim was maintenance and a forklift operator at Wagner Hardwoods for over 35 years. Jim loved taking a long, easy ride on his motorcycle. He could often be found with a tool in his hand to work on a car or his latest home improvement project. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He always kept the door open for anyone looking to come in and shoot the breeze. He always looked forward to taking a drive in his '69 Firebird. Jim was also an animal lover. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jill (Lawrence) LaRow; three sons, Jeff (Lisa) LaRow, James LaRow, Jr., and Joseph LaRow; sister, Brenda Collins of Newfield; two brothers, Timothy LaRow of Cayuta and Paul (Betty) LaRow of Raeford, NC; mother-in-law, Ellnora Coil of Newfield; granddaughter, Makayla LaRow; and by many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Sammy LaRow. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
