Condolences
I lived i Ithaca from 1991 to 2001 - came back during the summers of ‘02, ‘03, ‘04, ‘05 - I always made it a point to come out to the Stonecat - My memory is hazey but I know I knew Scott & Jessica b/c my band Mectapus played there before (I don’t remember when) - I recall standing up to applaud a band up there - Sim Redmond? Or Oculus or something, & when I sat back down on the plastic chair I fell backward down the grassy hill outside the deck - I did three full back flips in a row - luckily I was drunk enough where I just let gravity take me - I’m sure Scott saw the whole thing & was very concerned about my safety & wellbeing - & I remember he helped me up & I told him he needed to do something about that hill / he was wonderful - a music lover & a great guy - I just learned of his passing - He was always so fun & kind to me - I plan to come to Stonecat this July for dinner with my wife & daughter
So sorry to hear of Scott's passing. Truly a great guy and will be sorely missed.
I remember working with him at the Sheldrake Winery before he opened Stone Cat and we had a lot of fun, long, hard-working days planting vines.
Greetings, Scott.
We knew you from the early days at Sheldrake. You were always full of energy, enthusiasm, and ideas. Little did we know what influence and innovative ideas you would bring to the Finger Lakes culinary scene. What a legacy you are leaving behind – way too soon.
Our condolences to your lovely wife, and extended family. We will miss you.
Kind regards, Michael and Marjorie Adams
