Obituary of Norma E. Silliman

Norma E. Densmore Silliman, age 88, of Montour Falls, NY passed away unexpectedly at home on Saturday, December 4th, 2021. Norma was born in Elmira, NY on January 12th, 1933, the daughter of the late Alton and Edith (French) Densmore. Norma worked diligently on the family owned dairy farm and was devoted to raising her five children. She had driven school bus for the Watkins Glen Central School District for many years and had been a volunteer with the Schuyler County Ambulance Association. She enjoyed crocheting, working with crafts, and bird watching. Norma is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, LeGrand "Lee" E. Silliman; four daughters, Alice Silliman, Carol Tuton, Donna (Michael) Young, and Winona (Paul) Beebe; son, Carl (Dian) Silliman; four grandchildren, Michael Tuton, Ryan Tuton, Amber Beebe and Bryon Beebe; as well as several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Norma was predeceased by her brothers, Charles Densmore and the Reverend Robert Densmore, sisters, Pearl Spearman and Roberta Ellison. At Norma's request, there will be no calling hours. A private memorial service will be held at the family's convenience with burial at Montour Cemetery, Montour Falls, NY.
