Obituary of Barbara Reynolds

Barbara Noble Lowell Reynolds, 94, of Montour Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Schuyler Hospital due to complications from pneumonia. Barbara was born in Tarrytown, NY, the daughter of the late Robert Irwin Lowell and Dorothy Dora Jones Lowell. She graduated from Hastings-on-Hudson High School in 1945 and received her Bachelor's Degree at Cornell University in 1972. She married John Hollis Reynolds, Jr. on August 28, 1948 at Hastings-on-Hudson, NY. She lived in Skaneateles, NY from 1950-1993. Barbara owned and operated Barbara Reynolds Courier Service in Albany N.Y. until her retirement in 2017. She enjoyed arts and crafts, antiquing, and bargain shopping. She loved spending time with her family and friends, sharing a meal or taking a drive. She was predeceased by her husband, John Hollis Reynolds, Jr. in 1973; daughter, Karen Ann Reynolds Fesko in 2018; and sister, Joan Lowell Riley in 2003. She is survived by two daughters, Holly Reynolds Ouderkirk of Lansing and Marion Reynolds of Syracuse; three sons, John and Irina Reynolds, Gary and Sue Reynolds of Conroe, TX and Mark and Kathy Reynolds of Sykesville, MD; and a brother, Bob Lowell of Portland, OR. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Shepherd Settlement Cemetery, Skaneateles, NY.
