Obituary of Lorraine Ector

Ector (Sample), Lorraine P. age 78 of Montour Falls, NY, passed away on April 10, 2012 with her family by her side. Lorraine was born on August 24, 1934 to the late Irene Dassance and Edward Brown of Elmira, NY. She is survived by her two loving daughters Laurie (Sample) Banker of Watkins Glen, NY and Kathy (Sample) Spencer of Denver, CO; step-daughters and step-sons Blanche (George )Bowen, Louise (Lester) Sills, Joseph (Vicky) Ector, Charles (Joy) Ector, Gary (Katrina) Ector and Walter Jr. (Skip) and wife Denise Ector and brother Edward (Mary) Brown of Elmira, NY. Lorraine is also survived by her many treasured grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Lorraine was pre-deceased by her first husband Frank Sample, her second husband Walter Ector, mother and step-father Irene and William Dassance, brother Joseph Brown, grandson (Frank William David) Billy Davis and daughter Susan (Sample) Hann. Lorraine was employed as a Cost-Accountant by Shepard Niles in Montour Falls, NY. She was forever devoted to her family. She liked to play cards, crochet, cross stitch, read and cook. She loved country music and had a special place in her heart for John Wayne. She had a twinkle in her eye that was matched only by her sense of humor. She will be remembered and missed by all. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Vedder and Scott Funeral Home, 122 N. Genesee St., Montour Falls, NY on Saturday, April 13, 2013 between the hours of 12 noon and 2 PM.
